DEAN E. JESSUP

As a biologist with State Government, and then with private business in animal health product distribution, animal agriculture has been an underlying field of intrigue. When the three founding partners discussed the idea of a company to cover unique challenges in animal agriculture, it was a natural fit and an easy transition to become part of this new company. With Agrarian Marketing Corporation, Dean has been involved with the general office operation, but also has covered sales in both domestic and international markets. The international business has afforded travel to foreign countries to view and work with animal agriculture challenges of varied dimensions. The opportunity to work with the people in animal agriculture is a daily reward. Dean and his wife, Jan, live in Goshen, Indiana; they have three married children, and currently 5 grandchildren.

MARK LANTZ

General Manager

MBA, Indiana Wesleyan University, 1988

Mark graduated from Taylor University with a B.S. in Business Systems and then received his MBA from Indiana Wesleyan University. Mark spent nearly 16 years in various management roles for an agri-business that supplies feeding, watering, and environmental control systems to the poultry and hog industry. It was at that time that he developed his interest in this segment of the agricultural world. Mark travelled throughout Europe and South America to see a variety of livestock management techniques. In his primary role, he served as General Manager for the Egg Production Division and then Grain Systems Division.

Prior to joining AMC, Mark lived out one of his passions by serving for six years as the Director of Athletics and Adjunct Professor at Bethel College in Mishawaka, Indiana. He was privileged to serve a number of coaches and athletes in this dynamic higher education environment.

Mark, and his wife Cindi, live in Milford, Indiana. They have two married sons and one daughter.

ROB HAMAKER

BS, Animal Science, Northwest Missouri State University, 1985
Director of Sales and Marketing

Rob was born and raised on a farm in South Central Iowa. He graduated from Northwest Missouri State University in 1985 with a degree in Animal Science. Rob began his career with a company basic in the manufacturing of direct-fed microbials. The 12 years of experience before joining Agrarian Marketing Corporation® in 1999 has given Rob much background in the feed supplement business. For the past 10 years, Rob has served as Agrarian’s Director of Marketing with responsibility for Select Sires, Inc., coordinating Agrarian’s dairy programs and promotions with Select Sires main office. He also works with many of the Midwest-based Select Sires cooperatives, including Prairie State, Minnesota, East Central, NorthStar, KABA, Southeast and Cache Valley. In Rob’s current position,he is responsible for all domestic sales and marketing programs for Agrarian.

ROBERT J. KLEINHEKSEL

Shareholder and Secretary, Board of Directors Retired

After military service, Mr. Kleinheksel began his career in retail feed sales, followed by employment as Regional Sales Manager with Kraft Foods Agricultural Division, Dawes Laboratories, and then, Agrimerica, Inc. He later joined Far-Mor Flavor Company as National Sales Manager. When that company became Far-Mor Bio-Chem, Inc. Bob became its Vice President for International Sales and Business Development. After a few years, Bob and two partners, Charles Howe and Dean Jessup, created Agrarian Resource Corporation, which in joint venture with a Canadian firm became Agritech Bio Ingredients, Inc. During this time today's "Agrarian" products were developed and sales grew well. Later, the original partners re-purchased the assets of Agritech Bio and formed Agrarian Marketing Corp. Mr. Kleinheksel served as President of the company until his retirement from active day-to-day operations in 2003. He remains vested and is serving the company as Secretary of Board of Directors.

CHARLES J. HOWE

Shareholder and Vice President, Board of Directors Retired

Chuck was born and raised on a beef operation in central Indiana, and has been in agricultural sales for over 40 years. In 1968, he owned and operated a soil treatment business in the Stockton, California region before returning to central Indiana in 1976 where he worked for a local cooperative and developed the feed business in the area. From 1982 to 1990 he was an award-winning Regional Sales Manager for Central Soya in the premix business division. In 1990, he helped establish Agrarian Resource Corporation which eventually changed to Agrarian Marketing Corporation. He has three married daughters and three grandchildren.

JOHN A. DOERR

In his thirty year tenure at University of Maryland, Dr. Doerr published original research in the field of mycotoxicology, primarily related to toxin interactions in poultry and toxin impact on immunity. He conducted additional work in the area of direct fed microbials for improved efficiency of nutrient utilization (nitrogen and phosphorus) and in modulation of intestinal mucosal immune function resulting in resistance to Eimeria acervulina (coddidiosis) challenge in broilers. John has presented his findings throughout the U.S. and in more than 20 foreign countries. He has consulted for numerous commercial interests. John has won awards for research, student advising, and industry relations. Upon retirement from the University of Maryland, he accepted the task of directing science and technology research and education for Agrarian Marketing, with emphasis on cell-wall deficient Lactobacilli as direct-fed microbials for livestock. John and his wife, Joan, have their primary residence in Pennsylvania; they have two children and one grandchild.

MICHAEL R. HENDERSON

Regional Sales Representative

Mike grew up in Central California in the heart of the San Joaquin Valley in dairy country. He majored in Agricultural Business Management and Animal Science at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, California. For as long as he remembers, he has always been involved with production livestock . . . from raising locker beef to putting himself through college to currently serving as an FFA advisor for Dinuba High School. In his thirty-plus years in agricultural sales, he has spent the majority of his time working in the dairy industry. Since 2004, Mike has been the sales coordinator for Agrarian Marketing Corporation, representing the company and its products to All West Select Sires, a co-op associated with Select Sires. Mike’s responsibilities include sales, training, education, and expanding market share. Mike has a passion for service and in meeting the needs of his customers and company.

Mike is married to Shelly, his high school sweetheart, and they have been married for over thirty years. They have two children, Tommy and Michelle. Shelly and Tommy teach at Dinuba High School, and Michelle is the principal’s administrative assistant. All three love serving the students at their alma mater.

DANIEL M. HOYING

Regional Sales Representative

Dan was born and raised on a dairy farm in Western Ohio. He owned and managed a 50 cow dairy from 1976 till 1994. In 1989 he began working as an AI technician and reproductive specialist for COBA/Select Sires. He concentrated in the areas of reproductive management and herd health products on small and large dairies. In 2007 he started his current position with Agrarian Marketing Corporation as a product representative covering the regions of the COBA and KABA Cooperatives associated with Select Sires. With his broad area of knowledge and experience, he is a very effective support resource to the farmers in his area. Dan is married to his wife Brenda, and has 2 daughters who both currently attend Ohio State University.

GREG MUCHMORE

Regional Sales Representative

Greg gained interest in the dairy industry while working on an 80 cow farm in central New York. He graduated from the Pennsylvania State University in 1976 with a BS in Agricultural Business Management, and started his career as a crops specialist working with nutrient management and herbicide programs. Soon after, he expanded his interests to dairy nutritional programs and provided nutrition counseling for Agway, Ralston Purina, White Oak Mills, and other independently owned feed mills for over 25 years. His background in horticulture and animal nutrition gives him a good understanding of dairy production, feeding, and feed quality issues such as the nutritional and metabolic problems which can develop from feed-borne mycotoxin challenges. In his current capacity with Agrarian, Greg collaborates with Select Sire Power representatives and assists veterinarians and nutritionists on the east coast. Greg and his wife Karen live in Port Matilda, PA and have two sons, Tyler who is married with one son and Samuel, who is a US Marine.
